About the Project

An imposing retaining wall overlooking a thoughtfully designed mobility park has been transformed into a vibrant gallery celebrating native plants and wildlife throughout the seasons. Created in collaboration with Alicia Rheal, this project provided an opportunity to bring color, beauty, and a sense of connection to a space enjoyed by residents of the rehabilitation center and assisted living community.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the project was the participation of approximately a dozen residents, who painted individual contributions on poly-tab fabric. These pieces were later incorporated into a small mural on a concrete pillar near the main exit to the outdoor gathering space. The vibrant backgrounds and interconnected imagery unify the designs, creating a joyful visual experience that reflects both the natural world and the community that helped bring it to life.
