About the Project
Years of heavy foot traffic, swinging golf clubs, and countless pencil marks had taken their toll on the walls at Vitense Mini Golf. While a previous artist had started the renovation process, much of the work remained unfinished when I joined the project.
To ensure steady progress and maintain the client’s confidence, I organized the mural installation into distinct phases, completing each section before moving on to the next. Over the course of three months, I transformed much of the space while it remained fully open to the public, carefully working around daily operations and visitors.
Each phase featured a unique Madison-inspired theme and presented its own set of challenges. From uneven surfaces and unexpected architectural obstacles to hard-to-reach areas, there was rarely a flat surface in sight. The result is a cohesive, vibrant environment that celebrates local landmarks and culture while bringing new life to one of Madison’s favorite family attractions. More phases to follow.
